Stephen Dolginoff
Stephen Dolginoff is an award-winning, New York-based writer/composer. He received Drama Desk Award nominations for Best Musical & Best Music; an Outer Critics Circle Award nomination for Best Off-Broadway musical; and won an ASCAP Music Award for his musical Thrill Me: The Leopold & Loeb Story. Over 100 productions in 15 countries and 10 languages have followed, including a run on London's West End (WOS Award nom), productions in Los Angeles & Chicago, and long-running Asian versions in Seoul & Tokyo.
Stephen's musical suspense thriller, Flames, has been seen in London, Canada, and across the USA. His horror-movie musical homage, Monster Makers, was first presented at the Daryl Roth Theatre by New York Theatre Barn, prior to its international regional theatre debut. Stephen received a Backstage Bistro Award for Outstanding Book, Music & Lyrics for his musical One Foot Out the Door. His musical Most Men Are, his musical adaptation of Journey to the Center of the Earth, and his musical comedy Panic, the story behind the “War of the Worlds” broadcast, have been performed in theatres all around the world.
Stephen received a BFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU/Tisch School of the Arts. His work is published by Samuel French, Dramatists Play Service and Playscripts. As an actor, he played “Nathan Leopold” in Thrill Me off-Broadway and on the cast album, and originated the roles of “Max Schreck,” “Boris Karloff” & “Peter Cushing” in Monster Makers onstage and on the original cast recording.
